The PowerShot G3 X is a 20-megapixel camera with 25x optical zoom and a 35mm-equivalent focal length range of 24mm-600mm. It has a 3.1-inch LCD (1,620,000 pixels) that swivels and includes touchscreen capability. Because it does not accept interchangeable lenses, we consider this model an advanced point-and-shoot camera. The camera has a maximum aperture of f/2.8. The camera's shutter speed range is 30 seconds to 1/2000 of a second. The PowerShot G3 X stores photos and video on SD/SDHC/SDXC memory cards but has no on-board storage. It has exposure bracketing, which allows you to take multiple exposures of a single scene. It has a high-dynamic-range mode, which helps capture as much tonal range possible. The image stabilization system for this camera is optical. The PowerShot G3 X measures 5.1 inches wide by 3.1 inches high by 4.2 inches deep, and weighs 27 ounces (1.7 pounds) (with battery, memory card, and strap).
